The beginning

Tyrone and I “met” on IRIE FM’s Running African radio programme on January 22nd 2006.

He signed up for copies of the free Quarterly Tools for Transformation Newsletter™, my 7 Laws of Emotional Intelligenceand theTune Up Your Emotional Intelligence E-Book™. We contact each other from time to time by email.

Question 1: What results have you achieved using the Tools for Transformation?

“By using the Tools for Transformation, I have become more aware of my Emotional Intelligence. I am now dealing with my co workers on a different level. I am now analyzing things said to me before I answer. I think first, and analyze the situation before responding. I am not a manager or in any leadership role. I work in a small company of 7 workers and report to one boss.”

Question 2: What barriers have you encountered?

“I just started using the Tools for Transformation this week, so I have not encountered any barriers as yet.”

Question 3: What did you do to overcome them?

“Based on response to question 2, I cannot answer this question fully.”

Question 4: What can I do to help you achieve your plans?

“I plan to continue using the Tools for Transformation as my awareness of my Emotional Intelligence has now increased.”

Question 5: What can I do to help you achieve your plans?

“You can continue to send the newsletters to me and any new information”

Thanks for sharing your insights and experiences Tyrone. Next, we’ll meet Tanika.

Welcome to the club of self awareness, Tyrone.

I see that although you are just coming to terms with new information you are not afraid to apply them to your job situation. It is highly critical that one consciously thinks before speaking; since others feelings and responses are influenced by the spoken word.

There is an old saying which says “words are wind”. It is true that they are wind but in like manner as the wind of any wind disaster hurts based on its magnitude,so do words. They may damage the core of one’s emotions/ feelings/self esteem and that does influence ones reponse/action/behaviour.This therefore means, that one must be aware of what one speaks and in what tone it is delivered.

I am pleased that you have the desire and enthusiasm to continue the journey to awake the powers of SELF.
