This is too cute. It is a place I’ve found myself at times so I appreciate the humor.

Staying anchored in my intentions has been the way I’ve stopped myself form wandering too “far a field.” And my intentions (the end-results I want and the purpose for which I want it) are most effective when they come from my heart.

    Thanks, Barbara

Frank must be far too busy and a vitim of multitasking… Thoughts?

Thanks for a laugh to help us think a little more on this, Galba.

    Hello Barbara:

Thanks for stopping by. There is so much in what you’ve written. My question is: has your heart ever directed you to go to diverse places? I’d love to know more about your experience.

    Hello Robyn:

Poor Frank :( Barbara’s earlier comment suggests to me that focus is the antidote to thinking too far out of the box. Trying to do too many things at once (multitasking)might cause a person to be perpetually busy, like a mouse on a treadmill, the point being that it’s all within the framework of the same box.

Paradoxically, I find that my creative breakthroughs come from consistently asking simple questions. It helps me look at the same thing, but from a different perspective. I wonder, maybe there really isn’t a box after all? What do you think, Robyn?

    Hi Galba,
My heart has indeed directed me to diverse places and in the end different choices.

It was my heart that led me to quit the Corporate job I was in. [My head never would have suggested leaving that secure paycheck.]

My heart led me to become a Licensed Massage Therapist for a period of time.[My head never could have taught me what I learned about the interaction of the body, mind and Spirit.]

And it is my heart that keeps me exploring the idea of creatorship, when my head says “it’ll never sell.”

My head diverts me with interests, while my heart seems more concerned with my quality of life and my life purpose.

Thinking “in the box” to me reflects a conditioned way of viewing the world. The heart connects to a deeper wisdom. Sometimes it starts with a simple question as you suggest to Robyn. But it never seems to end there.

If I just let my mind go however I can end up scattered and, like the cartoon, a bit lost.

Keep up the good posting and questions. Barbara

    Hello Barbara:

    You said:
“My head diverts me with interests, while my heart seems more concerned with my quality of life and my life purpose.” This suggests that the heart is the place that leads to deeper decisions/reasoning. So much career advice encourages people to look at their interests, rather than digging deeper to discover their passions. Following one’s passion can be very rewarding ….and often throws up more risks. Thank you for your encouraging words and keep the Creatorship flag flying high :)
